Beautiful antique hand-needlepoint footstool dating to the late Victorian / Edwardian period (circa 18901910). The top features finely worked floral needlepoint in soft, muted pastels, bordered with original fringe and raised on solid turned wood bun feet.
This type of stool would have been used in a parlor or dressing room as a footrest or low vanity stool. The weight and construction confirm true antique quality rather than later reproduction.
The needlepoint shows honest surface wear to the top from age and use, with gentle fading and minor thinning in high-touch areas, consistent with over a century of life. The wood base remains sturdy and structurally sound.
A wonderful piece for English country, Victorian, French provincial, or castlecore interiors.
Dimensions: 12.25 x 6.5
Weight: 7.5 lbs
Era: Late 19th Early 20th Century (c. 18901910)
Condition: Antique condition with age-appropriate wear to the needlepoint surface, light fringe wear, and patina to the wood. Solid.
